User Content Guidelines

These guidelines explain what content users may and may not post on the Vyete platform, including reviews, questions, photos, and messages.
1. Purpose
Vyete is a community-driven marketplace. User-generated content — product reviews, questions, photos, and ratings — helps other shoppers make informed decisions and helps shops improve. These guidelines ensure that content remains honest, helpful, and safe.
2. What You Can Post
2.1 Product Reviews
You are encouraged to post honest reviews of products you have purchased. Good reviews:
- Describe your genuine experience with the product.
- Include relevant details such as size/fit, quality, and use case.
- Are constructive when identifying shortcomings.
- May include photos of the product as received and in use.
2.2 Questions and Answers
You may ask questions about products listed on the Platform and answer questions posted by other users, provided your answer is accurate and based on personal experience.
2.3 Profile Information
You may personalise your public profile with a display name, avatar, and short bio. This information is visible to other users.
3. Prohibited Content
The following is strictly prohibited:
3.1 Inaccurate or Misleading Content
- False statements about a product's quality, origin, or characteristics.
- Reviews for products you have not purchased or received.
- Fabricated or incentivised reviews (including reviews posted in exchange for gifts, discounts, or other compensation without disclosure).
3.2 Harmful or Illegal Content
- Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates illegal activity.
- Content that threatens, harasses, intimidates, or endangers any person.
- Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Content that sexualises minors or depicts child exploitation in any form.
3.3 Privacy Violations
- Publishing another person's personal information (name, address, phone number, financial details) without their consent — commonly known as "doxxing".
- Sharing private communications without the consent of all parties.
3.4 Intellectual Property Violations
- Reproducing copyrighted text, images, or music without authorisation.
- Using another person's trademark in a way that creates consumer confusion.
3.5 Commercial Spam
- Advertising products or services unrelated to the item being reviewed.
- Posting the same or substantially similar content multiple times ("review spamming").
- Promoting competing platforms or directing users off-platform.
3.6 Impersonation
- Posing as a Vyete employee, shop operator, brand representative, or another user.
- Creating a username or avatar intended to deceive.
4. Content Standards
All content must meet the following standards regardless of category:
- Language: Posts must be in a language supported by the Platform. Profanity, slurs, and graphic language are not permitted.
- Relevance: Reviews must be about the product or service ordered, not about delivery, packaging, or unrelated experiences (those should be raised via the dispute process).
- Accuracy: Do not exaggerate or downplay product attributes to manipulate ratings.
- Images: Photos must depict the actual product. Images must not contain nudity, graphic violence, or watermarks from competing platforms.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
5.1 Review Process
Vyete moderates content using a combination of automated filters and human review. Content may be reviewed before or after publication.
5.2 Actions Vyete May Take
Depending on severity, Vyete may:
- Remove or edit non-compliant content.
- Issue a warning to your account.
- Temporarily restrict your ability to post content.
- Permanently suspend your posting privileges.
- Terminate your account.
- Refer the matter to law enforcement where content is illegal.
5.3 Reporting Content
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on the relevant post. Vyete will investigate reported content and take appropriate action within 5 business days.
6. Appeals
If your content is removed or your account is restricted, you may appeal within 14 days via Settings → Appeals. Vyete will review your appeal and respond within 10 business days.
7. Liability
You are solely responsible for any content you post. Vyete is not liable for user-generated content but reserves the right to remove any content at its discretion.
8. Changes to These Guidelines
Vyete may update these guidelines from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the current version.
