Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do when using the Vyete platform as a registered user. It forms part of your agreement with Vyete Technologies Ltd ("Vyete") under the User Terms of Service.
1. Purpose and Scope
This AUP applies to all activity you carry out on or through the Vyete platform, including:
- Browsing, searching, and placing orders.
- Submitting reviews, ratings, and comments.
- Communicating with shops, couriers, and Vyete support.
- Using any Vyete mobile application or web interface.
- Accessing the platform via the API (where available to users).
2. Permitted Use
You may use the Vyete platform to:
- Discover shops and products available in your area.
- Place, manage, and track orders for personal, non-commercial use.
- Submit genuine reviews and ratings based on your real experience.
- Communicate with sellers and support for legitimate order-related purposes.
- Manage your account settings, preferences, and data.
- Share product links through normal social-sharing features.
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1 Fraudulent and Deceptive Conduct
You must not:
- Use false or stolen payment credentials or identity information.
- Chargeback or dispute payments for orders you have actually received and accepted.
- Claim a refund for items that were not faulty or as described.
- Create multiple accounts to exploit promotions, credits, or referral schemes.
- Place orders with no intention to receive or pay for them.
- Impersonate any person, shop, brand, or Vyete employee.
3.2 Harmful and Illegal Activity
You must not:
- Use the platform for any purpose prohibited by applicable law.
- Purchase goods for the purpose of resale without being a registered shop.
- Attempt to purchase items that you know are prohibited under the Prohibited Products Policy.
- Facilitate or participate in money laundering or terrorist financing through platform transactions.
- Order goods to be delivered to an address used for criminal activity.
3.3 Platform Abuse
You must not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of any part of the Vyete platform.
- Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to access, query, or collect data from the platform without written authorisation.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Vyete system or network (see the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy for authorised research).
- Inject malicious code, viruses, or malware into any part of the platform.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data.
- Interfere with the availability or performance of the platform for other users.
- Circumvent or disable any security feature or access control.
3.4 Content and Communications
You must not:
- Post reviews, comments, or messages that are false, defamatory, misleading, or manipulative.
- Offer or accept payment in exchange for positive reviews.
- Use threatening, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, or obscene language in any communication.
- Share, upload, or transmit content that infringes any third-party intellectual property right.
- Solicit or collect personal information from other users or sellers.
- Advertise, promote, or solicit business outside of Vyete's intended functionality.
- Share another person's private information without their consent.
3.5 Account Integrity
You must not:
- Allow any other person to use your account.
- Share or sell your login credentials.
- Use your account on behalf of a business without registering as a shop.
- Attempt to transfer your account to another person.
- Bypass account suspension or termination by registering a new account.
4. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are a critical trust mechanism on the platform. In addition to Section 3.4, you must:
- Only review orders you have personally received and verified.
- Base your review on your genuine experience with the product and delivery.
- Not submit reviews intended to damage a competitor's business.
- Disclose any material relationship with the seller (e.g., if you received a free or discounted item).
Vyete may remove any review that violates this Policy and may take account action against users who systematically abuse the review system.
5. Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential.
- Using a strong, unique password for your Vyete account.
- Logging out of shared or public devices after use.
- Promptly reporting any suspected unauthorised account access to [email protected].
- Ensuring any device you use to access Vyete is reasonably secured and free from malware.
6. Enforcement
6.1 Actions Vyete May Take
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- A formal warning added to your account record.
- Temporary suspension of ordering or review capabilities.
- Permanent account termination.
- Cancellation and refusal of pending orders.
- Recovery of promotional credits obtained through abuse.
- Referral to law enforcement where criminal activity is involved.
6.2 Proportionality
Vyete will apply enforcement measures proportionate to the nature and severity of the breach. First-time, minor violations are typically addressed with a warning. Deliberate fraud or serious platform abuse will result in immediate and permanent account termination.
6.3 Appeals
If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal within 14 calendar days by emailing [email protected] with your account email and a description of why you believe the action was in error. Appeals are reviewed within 10 business days.
7. Updates
Vyete may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
