Brand Content Guidelines

Effective Date: 8 May 2026 · Version 1.0

These guidelines govern all organic content published by brands on the Vyete platform, including product catalogue entries, brand profile content, and assets made available to authorised shops.

1. Scope

These guidelines apply to:

  • Master product catalogue entries (titles, descriptions, images, specifications).
  • Brand profile pages and storefronts.
  • Product imagery, videos, and documentation uploaded to the Brand Dashboard.
  • Assets shared with authorised shops for use in shop listings.

Paid advertising content is governed by the Brand Advertising Guidelines.

2. Brand Profile Standards

2.1 Brand Name and Logo

  • Your registered brand name must match your legal or trading name.
  • Your logo must be the current, official version. Do not upload outdated or superseded logos.
  • Logos must be high-resolution (minimum 500 × 500 px, transparent PNG preferred).
  • If your brand name or logo changes, update the Brand Dashboard within 30 days of the change.

2.2 Brand Description

Your brand description must:

  • Accurately describe your brand's history, values, and product focus.
  • Be written in clear, professional language.
  • Not include competitor comparisons or derogatory statements.
  • Not include contact information that directs customers off-platform.

2.3 Brand Story and Media

You may publish a brand story section with editorial images and video. All media must:

  • Be owned or licensed by you.
  • Accurately represent your brand (no stock imagery presented as brand photography without disclosure).
  • Not contain explicit, violent, or discriminatory content.

3. Product Catalogue Standards

3.1 Product Titles

Titles must follow the structure: Brand Name — Product Name — Key Variant(s)

  • Include the most important identifiers consumers search for.
  • Do not include marketing copy ("Amazing", "Best Ever") or punctuation used purely for emphasis.
  • Use title case (e.g., Vyete Sport Running Shoe — Volt Yellow / Size Guide).

3.2 Product Descriptions

Descriptions must:

  • Be written or approved by you (the brand), not copied verbatim from third-party sources.
  • Describe the product accurately, including materials, dimensions, and compatible uses.
  • Clearly state any age restrictions, safety warnings, or regulatory notices.
  • Avoid misleading statements about product efficacy or performance.

3.3 Product Imagery

Primary image:

  • Must show the product alone on a clean background.
  • No model, props, or lifestyle elements.
  • Minimum resolution: 1200 × 1200 px.
  • Format: JPG or PNG (WebP accepted).

Additional images (up to 8):

  • May include lifestyle, detail, scale, and packaging shots.
  • Must accurately represent the product — no retouching that alters material product attributes (colour, shape, size).

360° and video (where supported):

  • Must accurately represent the product.
  • Video max duration: 60 seconds; max file size: 100 MB; format: MP4.

3.4 Specifications and Attributes

Complete all required attribute fields for each product category. Inaccurate specifications (e.g., wrong material, false dimensions) are treated as misdescription and may trigger consumer redress obligations.

4. Assets Shared with Shops

4.1 Authorised Asset Library

You may upload a curated asset library in the Brand Dashboard for use by authorised shops. Clearly label which assets are:

  • Mandatory: Shops must use these assets (e.g., the primary product image).
  • Optional: Shops may use these at their discretion.
  • Restricted: Shops must request brand approval before use (e.g., celebrity-endorsed imagery).

4.2 Permitted Shop Use

Shops are permitted to use your assets solely for listing your products on Vyete. Shops may not:

  • Alter logos or marks without permission.
  • Use assets for purposes outside the Vyete platform.
  • Sub-license assets to third parties.

4.3 Asset Expiry

Mark time-sensitive assets (e.g., seasonal campaign imagery) with an expiry date. Vyete will notify shops when assets expire and automatically prevent use after expiry.

5. Accuracy and Updates

5.1 Catalogue Currency

You are responsible for keeping your catalogue current. Update product information within 5 business days of any material change (new variant, formula change, regulatory update).

5.2 Discontinued Products

Mark discontinued products as such in the Brand Dashboard rather than deleting them, to preserve order history and dispute resolution records.

5.3 Regulatory Updates

Where a regulatory change requires a label or description update, implement the update in the Brand Dashboard and notify affected shops.

6. Enforcement

Non-compliant content will be flagged for review. Brands will receive a notice and 5 business days to remediate. Persistent non-compliance may result in:

  • Forced de-listing of non-compliant products.
  • Suspension of new listing privileges.
  • Escalation to the brand partnership manager.
