Content Guidelines for Tour Operators
Effective Date: 1 January 2026 · Version 1.0
Tour Operators may publish editorial content through the Vyete Content Service — including destination guides, experience highlights, travelogues, safety briefings, and brand narratives — to support their listings. This document sets out the content standards that apply to all content published by Tour Operators.
1. What Tour Operators May Publish
| Content Type | Examples | |---|---| | Experience guides | Detailed narratives about specific tours, routes, and wildlife | | Destination articles | Information about locations, cultural context, travel tips | | Travelogues | First-person accounts of experiences (must be attributed clearly) | | Safety and preparation briefings | What to bring, fitness requirements, health precautions | | Brand narratives | Your company story, team introductions, conservation commitments |
Content must directly support or relate to experiences you list on the Platform. General tourism content unrelated to your listed offerings requires Vyete editorial approval.
2. Accuracy and Truthfulness
All published content must be accurate. Content that:
- Presents invented testimonials, fabricated statistics, or fictional scenarios as factual is prohibited.
- Makes claims about wildlife sightings, environment, or conditions that are seasonally or factually inaccurate must be updated when conditions change.
- Describes facilities, guides, or inclusions not actually available in the corresponding listing is a misrepresentation.
Where your listing is updated (price change, route change, availability change), associated content must be reviewed and updated accordingly.
3. Intellectual Property
By publishing content through the Content Service, you grant Vyete a non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute the content on the Vyete Platform and its associated applications for the duration the content is published and up to 12 months after removal for archival purposes.
You retain ownership of all original content you publish.
3.1 Creator Warranties
By submitting content, you warrant that:
- The content is original or lawfully licensed.
- You hold the rights to all images, video, music, and text within the content.
- No recognisable individual appears in images or video without their consent (or, where the individual is in a public space, in compliance with applicable privacy law).
- The content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, database right, or privacy right of any third party.
3.2 Third-Party and Stock Content
Where content includes third-party material under licence (stock photography, licensed music, quoted text):
- Retain evidence of the licence and make it available to Vyete on request.
- Provide attribution as required by the licence.
- Ensure the licence permits use in a commercial marketplace context.
4. Prohibited Content
The following may not be published through the Content Service:
- Defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content.
- Content that promotes illegal activity, wildlife offences, or access to protected areas without permits.
- Content disclosing personal data of identifiable individuals without their consent.
- AI-generated content that contains fabricated facts, invented persons, or unverifiable claims.
- Content disparaging named competitors without factual substantiation.
- Political content advocating for or against any political candidate, party, or referendum.
- Content that constitutes advertising for prohibited experiences.
5. Sponsored and Promotional Content
Where content is paid for, sponsored by, or produced in exchange for any benefit, it must include a clear and prominent disclosure:
Sponsored by [Brand Name] | Paid Partnership
Sponsored content is subject to all content standards and to the Campaign and Advertising Policy.
6. Content Moderation
Content is subject to pre-publication automated checks. Content that fails automated checks is held for manual review (1–3 business days turnaround).
Vyete may remove published content that receives verified complaints, becomes factually inaccurate, or is found to violate this policy. You will be notified of removals except where notification would pose a legal risk.
6.1 Appealing a Removal
Appeal a content removal by emailing [email protected] within 10 business days of the removal notice. Vyete will respond within 5 business days.
